An upper outlier detection procedure in a sample from a Johnson SB distribution with known parameters

Abstract: In this paper, a test statistics is developed for detection of an upper outlier in a sample from a Johnson S
B distribution when parameters are known. Performance of this statistic was studied using simulation technique. This statistic was applied to a real life data with a planted outlying observation to show the utility of the proposed test statistic.
