Two component mixture of Laplace and Laplace type distributions with applications to manpower planning models

Abstract: This paper is on the mixtures of Laplace and Laplace type bimodal distribution with the probability p and 1-p respectively. In addition to the distribution properties and inferential aspects studied the same distribution was applied to the real-life data on the manpower planning of an organization under the two different promotional policies namely promotion by seniority and promotion by random.
