Adaptation strategies followed by the farmers to mitigate crisis related to drought situation

Abstract: The study is conducted in the five talukas of Ahmedabad and Botad districts of Bhal region of Gujarat which is drought prone area. The results of the study show that majority of the farmers of Bhal region had adopted the practices related to seasonal crops, soil and water conservation, irrigation, livestock management, land and labour use, financial management and family to mitigate crisis related to drought and extent of their adaptation found to be medium in all the practices expect land use having adaptation level found to be low.
