An almost unbiased ratio estimator of population mean in stratified sampling

Abstract: In this paper a generalised estimator of variance of ratio estimator has been proposed. It is seen that the suggested estimator is more efficient than existing estimator under certain conditions. Numerical illustrations have been cited to support theoretical results.
