Estimation of the residual entropy function of the Finite range distribution using record values
Author(s): Athira NR and ES Jeevanand
Abstract: Residual entropy has a very significant role in reliability and survival analysis. It is one of the modified form of the Shannon entropy function used to study the uncertainties associated to a non- negative random variable. In this paper, we focus on the Bayesian estimation of the residual entropy function of the Finite range distribution based on record breaking data. The performance of the estimator is evaluated using simulated data sets.
