Abstract: Fertilizer consumption trend analysis and its relationship with rice productivity is vital in farming system for sustainable agriculture. In this study, fertilizers such as N, P, K has been taken for its consumption trend from 2000 to 2020 in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It was observed that consumption trend is significantly increasing. Moreover, a relationship between N consumption with Rice productivity, P consumption with Rice productivity, and K consumption with Rice productivity has been explored. Three models: (i) Straight line, (ii) Second degree parabola curve and (iv) Exponential curve were explored and R
2 has been used to find the better model. It was observed that the maximum R
2 is 0.52, 0.43 and 0.30 in case of N consumption with Rice productivity, P consumption with Rice productivity, and K consumption with Rice productivity respectively and these are showing only by second degree parabola curve. R
2 is significant at 1% level. Hence, it was observed that second degree parabola could be used to find the relationship between fertilizer consumption and rice productivity. Compound growth rate of the N, P and K are 3.54%, 4.93% and 3.89% of the study period of 2001 to 2020.
