Applications of Laplace transform in third and fourth order differential equation

Author(s): S Joshna, Vinita Dewangan, SC Shrivastava and R Shrivastava

Abstract: Differential equations are crucial for modelling real-world problems, across different fields, from engineering to physics to biology. The Laplace transform is a potent instrument that can be employed to solve several categories of differential equations. The Laplace transform is a useful method for solving third and fourth order differential equations. The objective of this research is to examine the DE and their solutions through the utilization of the Laplace transform. The paper commences with a concise introduction to differential equations and the Laplace transform. The paper provides systematic solutions to third and fourth order differential equations by utilizing the Laplace transform. Additionally, it includes illustrative examples to demonstrate the practical implementation of this technique.
