Resonant wave interactions

Abstract: Interaction between non-linearity and dispersion is explained by using model equations for resonant wave interactions of geometrical acoustics. Lax-Friedrichs conservative difference scheme is modified for resonant wave interactions and complete elimination of shock wave solutions is demonstrated for a test case.
