Modified logarithm type estimators using SAE

Abstract: In the present work we deal with the formation of new modified logarithm type estimators using small area estimation for estimating finite population mean under simple random sampling. Bias and Mean square Error (MSE) are computed for suggested estimator up to first degree of approximation with help of synthetic method of estimation. Study is being performed comparing suggested logarithmic type estimator with existing estimators. Suggested estimator is more effective than Mean, Ratio and Product type synthetic estimators. Data used through simple random sampling strategy to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed estimators. We have proposed new estimators with real life implications. Comparison has been done which indicates suggested estimator is more efficient than other existing estimators.
