An assessment to measure knowledge level of goat farmers on Artificial Insemination (AI), Assam, India

Abstract: A Knowledge test scale was developed to measure the knowledge level of goat farmers on artificial insemination (AI) in goat in Assam. The respondents’ knowledge index scores were found to be ranged from 16.7 to 76.7 per cent. The item difficulty index (20–80), item discrimination index (>0.3) and point-biserial correlation (significant at the 5% level of significance) were employed to determine the final items for the test scale. Twenty items were chosen from a pool of thirty items for inclusion in the final format of the test scale. The entire scale was determined to have a content validity and a reliability coefficient of 0.80.
