Abstract: Groundwater is a crucial natural resource that sustains human and environmental needs, especially in regions with erratic rainfall patterns. The present study focuses on investigating the behavior of groundwater in Ambedkar Nagar before and after the monsoon season. This research aims to assess the impact of monsoon precipitation on groundwater levels and its subsequent response to post-monsoon conditions. The study will be carried out over a two-year period, covering both pre-monsoon and post-monsoon phases. Data on groundwater levels will be collected from existing monitoring wells strategically located throughout the Ambedkar Nagar region. The pre-monsoon period data will be obtained from the end of the previous monsoon season until the onset of the subsequent monsoon. The post-monsoon data will be gathered immediately after the monsoon season ends. To ensure the accuracy of the study, statistical analysis and spatial variation techniques will be employed to analyze the data collected. The research will investigate fluctuations in groundwater levels, recharge patterns, and discharge rates during both pre and post-monsoon periods. The study will also take into account land use changes and anthropogenic activities that might influence groundwater behavior. The anticipated outcomes of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the dynamics of groundwater in Ambedkar Nagar in response to monsoon variability. Understanding the behavior of groundwater in relation to seasonal variations will aid in effective water resource management and planning for the region's sustainable development.
