Abstract: The present study was conducted to study socioeconomic impact of Project on Climate Resilient Agriculture (PoCRA) in Akola district. 120 farmers were selected of which 60 beneficiary farmers (30 cotton cultivating and 30 soybean cultivating) and 60 non beneficiary farmers (30 cotton cultivating and 30 soybean cultivating) were selected. Socioeconomic impact of PoCRA on beneficiary farmers was assessed on parameters like cropping intensity, yield, net return and knowledge level. It was revealed from this study that in cotton beneficiary farmers mean cropping intensity was increased by 16.99 percent over cotton non beneficiary farmers. The mean yield level of cotton beneficiary was 18.92 qtl./ha while for cotton non beneficiary farmers it was 15.08 qtl./ha which showed that due to PoCRA there was increase of 25.46 percent in yield of cotton beneficiary farmers. Net return was increased by Rs.18985.23 (56.67 percent) in cotton beneficiary farmers than non-beneficiary farmers. In soybean beneficiary farmers mean cropping intensity was increased by 17.13 percent over soybean non beneficiary farmers. Mean yield level of soybean beneficiary was higher (20.26 percent) than soybean non beneficiary farmers. Due to PoCRA net return was increased by Rs. 10776.60 (54.99 percent) in soybean beneficiary farmers than soybean non beneficiary farmers. Statistically significant Z test values showed that there was significant impact on net returns obtained by beneficiary farmers. Also, the knowledge level was assessed through knowledge score which revealed that beneficiary farmers had mean knowledge score of 76.88 percent while non beneficiary farmers it was 28.75 percent. At an overall level these assessment of parameters mirrors the positive socioeconomic impact of PoCRA on beneficiary farmers.
