Correlation of selected characteristics of the pigeon pea growers with technological gap

Abstract: The present study was carried out in Amravati district of Maharashtra state with the help of exploratory design of social research. The objectives of study, to ascertain the relationship between selected characteristics of pigeon pea growers with their technological gap in adoption of pest and disease management practices in pigeon pea crop and to identify the constraints faced in adoption of pest and disease management practices in pigeon pea crop. The results indicated that, most of the variables were found to be significantly correlated with technological gap and the major constraints faced in adoption of pest and disease management practices are unavailability of human labour, lack of knowledge about the control measures for pest and diseases management practices.
