Abstract: India's groundnut exports during FY23 (April-August 2022) amounted to US$ 223.52 million, with a total quantity of 177,938.21 MT. The major sources of these exports were Gujarat and Rajasthan. The study relied entirely on secondary data, which was collected from various published reports. The trade directions for groundnut oil and seed exports were analyzed using the first-order Markov chain approach. For a better understanding, decadal analyses were conducted for the periods 2001-02 to 2010-11 and 2011-12 to 2020-21, with an overall estimation done from 2001-02 to 2022-23. China was identified as the most loyal importer of groundnut oil, while Indonesia and Malaysia were the most loyal importers of groundnut seeds.
