Analysing the constraints and suggestion for improving the cultivation of pigeon pea in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra as perceived by the farmers

Abstract: An attempt has been done in this research paper to
analysis the constraints and suggestions on cultivation of pigeon pea in
Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra as perceived by the farmers cultivating pigeon
pea.
Survey was conducted on 90 farmers from three
districts WASHIM, BULDHANA and AKOLA of Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra (30 from
each district). It has found in WASHIM district the highest score constraints
is high cost of production where as it is fluctuation in price in dist.
BULDHANA and high cost of production in AKOLA district.
